  • A very good value little place, especially if you watched Mr Selfridge. After going round the house cross the road and find St Marks church where Harry Selfridge is buried.
  • Visited his weekend for our friends wedding, a beautiful unique venue, helpful staff and superb grounds with views to the water. Shame it rained as didn't get to enjoy much of the outside space. Good ...  more »

  • basically, this is not a castle in the common sense. this is an old manor from a rich family that was built using typical architecture techniques. it does offer lovely events and coffee and small bar. nothing too fancy but a good option for the odd weekend.
  • Good stop off/parking point for walks on the dog friendly beach. House itself is lovely and fascinating - rented by Mr Selfridge for many years, now is a public attraction with tours and a cafe. Popular wedding venue meaning limited access on most wekends.
  • Gorgeous venue for a wedding. Although certain areas I feel could do with being done up as looking a little run done.
  • Beautiful views. Close to the beach. Nice cafĂ©.
  • We got married here, and it's beautiful. The day went so smoothly and the castle was so beautiful. We couldn't have asked for more.
