#1 of 27 in Parks in Worcestershire
Visit the stately Croome Court, as well as gatehouses, towers, and a church at Croome. Take a tour of Croome Court, the beautiful 18th-century house at the center of the park. At the Visitor Center, built inside the country's only remaining World War II hospital, check out the ‘bat cam' to spy on the park's sleeping bats and nesting birds. Tour the secret Royal Air Force airbase buildings scattered around the park, where over 2,000 servicemen and scientists worked during World War II. Having visited Croome on several times over the years. We were delighted to be greeted with a friendly welcome to the cafe to have a coffee and cake where the service was quick. However we were disapp...  more »

This is a wonderful place with a great deal of history especially during the Second World War. It is also a strange history that you won't believe and the grounds and house are truly amazing. I would ...  more »

We only had a couple of hours to visit Croome before we had to leave for a mid-afternoon event in Worcester. It should be pointed out that the positioning of the visitor centre some distance from the ...  more »

  • So much space!!! Spent a good half day here and feel like we only just scratched the surface of what there is to see and explore here. Even in torrential rain it was enjoyable (although you would definitely need good wet weather gear as it's very easy to get caught without any kind of shelter). Will definitely be returning to explore and discover more, probably more than once.
  • Lots of parking available makes it a doddle even when busy. Acres of beautiful parkland including a lake, well kept flowerbeds and pathways. The house here is very interesting in its own way, and is in need of repair to bring it to higher standard. The cafe here is good quality and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!
  • Was a lovely estate, the house has a wonderful and checkered history, but sadly has lost much of it's interior grandeur due to it's past incarnations. In addition one whole wing is privately owned so visitors are restricted from this portion. I think the trust have done a fantastic job of opening this estate to the public, and the houses internal secret is an incredible feat of civil engineering. As always with trust property, lots of outside space to explore and picnic in
  • National Trust doesn't get much better than this. Huge grounds, imposing house, a chequred history that is unique and fascinating and great facilities too. Just getting a little too popular these days. Worth a special visit when the Hare Krishna return once a year. The atmosphere is quite surreal.
  • Expensive and usually busy. Annoying thing about cafe is they stop doing bacon etc around 11:30 from my experience - why?! Nice enough gaff to grab a bite, nice cake selection etc and family friendly. Service is quick enough even on busy weekends and seating inside and out is usually plentiful. Can be noisy when busy but fits atmosphere and generally nice experience.
