  • A very impressive abbey dominating old Hexham, close to the market place. It is lit at night and this enhances its majesty. The Abbey has architecture from various centuries right up to the Victorian ...  more »
  • First of all this is free , therefore of course you should visit. Also it is very impressive and right in the heart of the town. As an added bonus there is a Roman memorial found near the wall.  more »
  • Not the first time we had visited, but the first time we goto to see the remarkable crypt. Very helpful guides and interesting exhibitions add to the beauty of this fine building.  more »

  • If you like abbeys and cathedrals you know that you'll like this place. There's also a nice little museum attached to the side.

  • Hexham's my home town and we first visited the Abbey at primary school. It still impresses every time I see it.
  • A very good exhibition aimed to be of interest and accessible to children as well as adults.
  • Beautiful and historic. Well worth a visit. Ask to see the crypt 😊
