  • Excellent. Very good quality food at reasonable prices. Friendly helpful staff. Massive portion of chicken and mushroom pie served with plenty of veg. Sticky Toffee pudding was perfect. Best Ive ever eaten. Bar area and toilets spotlessly clean. .
  • Ending my culinary year with an unfortunate negative review. Attracted to the venue for Sunday Lunch from the contents of their Web Page. On arrival the initial ambience looked pleasing, unfortunately found the serving staff within not so. Orders placed for Lamb and beef roast with side order of crackling and stuffing. The meal arrived exceptionally quick, however presented well. Unfortunately the Beef dried on the palate and could not be easily swallowed. Serving staff acted with professionalism and immediately exchanged for belly pork, subsequently all meals where off a poor tasteless quality, extra payment made for inedible dried out stuffing Throughout my meal I was appalled by the actions of the serving staff. They all congregated around the host station, their discussions spoken not in private with expletives continually and loudly spoken. Furthermore serving staff took possession of a sandwich platter, chose to place this at the table next to were we where dining, during service they would eat said sandwiches whilst still handling customers clean plates, cutterly, food and beverages. Ending on a positive, this could be a great place for a sociable drink, bar has an excellent stock to include real ales. But I would not return or recommend.
  • Lovely meal. Went on a Wednesday evening, which is their "pie night". Huge portion, great flavour and we'll presented. Pub has a nice cosy feel about it. Will be going back.
  • While the staff were polite, and the pub is pretty. The service was poor and the food mediocre. Even if you CAN manage to navigate through the menu in almost pitch black, due to its dull lighting and dark decorative tones, once you have selected your food.. be prepared for a long wait for food that is on par with that of a burger van. Wont be returning
  • Lovely Sunday roast, in fact the best around! I had the roast beef which was amazing, pink and tender just the way roast beef should be! My friends all loved it too and said the pork belly was to die for! We shall all be returning very soon!!
