  • You need patience or repeated visits to get the best views of the sometimes shy wildlife here, but the bears, bison and wildcats never disappoint. Last time the grass snake and adders were showing themselves off; this time we actually saw the weasel-first time in my life! A lovely walk, and in the summer not too hot as there's plenty of shade from the trees. Worth considering I'd it's sweltering.
  • This is a great space, for the kids to roam and run in safety and see many animals native to the UK. Staff are often on hand to talk about the animals, with several scheduled talks throughout the day and many activities for the school holidays. They work hard to raise awareness and conservation of animals. The one less star is for the toilets and cafe which are not great, especially for the prices...We always take a picnic as there are many places to sit and tuck into your sarnie. Free parking and great playground are a huge bonus.
  • As soon as we got here we struggled to find parking. I understand things can get busy but the parking was too small for the amount of people who visit. When we got in we were disappointed to find almost half the animals not in they enclosures. The cafe service had nothing at all bad with it. We brought 3 hot drinks and 5 ice creams. These all came to a reasonable price. The only problem with buying disposable cups and ice creams is there is not enough bins scattered around the enclosures. More visitors come to your attraction during the summer, so I personally feel all the work needed to be done should have been done during the winter. I came with my younger sisters and there friend, as they are young children they tend to use the toilet frequently. But we found out searching for them we only came across one near the exit/entrance. The last thing I want to mention was the lack of talks that actually occurred. We got to the lynx enclosure and waited for the two o'clock talk, we were waiting for 15 minutes but didn't receive the it. This was not the only talk we didn't get. My mum also pays for membership to help the charity. I would just like to add from a 14 year olds perspective I would rather not come back.
  • Fantastic day. My son loved it. The animals seem to have loads of space compared to other zoos in the area and this is reflected by the fact the animals seem happy.
  • Very interesting with very knowledgeable staff. Enjoyed watching wildlife been fed and the talking Parakeets we really funny. Child's play area also good.
