  • A lovely place to visit on a fine day, enjoy a walk in the beautiful gardens and then look around the house. It has a realy homely feel and not what you would expect for such a wealthy man. A must for British car nuts like me and a real education on how selfless he was giving money where it realy did good as well as providing iron lungs made in his factory and supplied to patients in UK and the commonwealth. A great British man with a kindly nature.
  • Quite modern looking house for a usual NT property, still kept just as Lord Nuffield wanted it, we enjoyed a tour of the house, but it was only of limited rooms, before 1pm, but still plenty to see and guides to answer questions. The garden was still being worked on and brought back to its original 1933 looks, but still very nice to walk around, just a tea room with snacks at present, but with a nice outlook and outdoor seating area. Interesting classic car Wolsley belonging to Lady Nuffield, and an old Iron Lung on display donated in 50s by Lord Nuffield to a number of Hospitals. Well worth a visit
  • Modest house of Sir William Morris - Lord Nuffield. A no nonsense engineer who gave a way millions to many worthwhile institutions. The staff here are very friendly and informative. Step back into the 1930s. We have visited twice, will certainly visit again.
  • Great little house, interesting history, friendly knowledgeable staff.
  • Considering in its time it was owners by one of the wealthiest men in the world, it's such a down to earth home. Still had that lived in feel with many curiosities to find along the way.
