  • A good day out or even a weekend but you can't do it all in one visit. Food is available and the Sunday carvery is good value you won't go hungry. Great for browsing away a lazy day but if you need something specific you be better of checking the website - its just quicker - you can also and reserve in some halls
  • Very big antiques centre. Needs more than a day. Everything from car boot tat to quality objects. I never leave empty handed. Food in larger restaurants has dropped from average to poor.
  • Hemswell is great as long as you're not in a wheelchair. Some rooms are too cluttered to get into and forget about the upper floors if you can't walk up the stairs . The cafe served fantastic food and coffee and the scones are delicious but hope you don't need the disabled toilet which has been re done since my previous visit. Who ever designed it did not use a wheelchair. The toilet was set opposite the wash bowl , if you need to lower the grab handle there's no room to manouver your wheelchair next to the toilet .( l hope they realise people use the wash bowl to pull themselves up !!!! ) If you want to wash your hands you can't use soap as it is half way up the wall well out of a wheelchair users reach . I'll try guard house l think there's is better laid out.
  • The biggest antiques place I've been to. So many different buildings to look through. A lovely cafe to. Not able to look at everything in one visit.
  • Pics of just a tiny gruesome corner. Very interesting and loads of really broad antiques. Be aware of a few b&q 'replicas' on a couple of stalls.
