  • Brilliant. Thoroughly enjoyable place to visit mainly due to the friendly, helpful and informative volunteers there. At present there is a mile of track available to run on, passing through Trevarno station which was the original main entrance, now a request stop, up to the end of the track going towards Helston. The round trip takes about 20 minutes, riding in the brake car which has viewing platforms both ends. At the current temporary station there are three carriages; two buffet cars and the shop where you can pay for the train ride and also souvenirs, models and toys. The cafe in the first carriage does a good range of drinks and hot and cold food. The bacon roll comes highly recommended. Dogs are welcome, but please note the temporary platform has a mesh grid which may make it awkward for them to walk on. Likewise people with walking sticks or crutches. Currently only one unisex portable toilet is available. Plans are underway to extend the line both ways and steam has arrived in the shape of 0-4-0 William Murdoch. Definitely one to keep coming back to.
  • A great place to bring the kids of any age. A mile of track being extended to two before the end of 2016. Has a buffet car which does great bacon rolls and tea and coffee. Also has a shop selling souvenirs.
  • I would like to visit the area again, and hope that more track has been laid since I last saw it in autumn 2014
  • Rural charm with endearing staff
  • September 2014 while on holiday called in and was pleasantly surprised to see what was on offer, this railway shows huge potential . We had an interesting couple of hours , with a brake van ride , a cup of coffee and chat with staff . If there is a slight downside access to the buffet coach was difficult the step height being high ,perhaps a small ramp would help.I made a point of speaking to a number of staff some lads doing building work, train crew and buffet staff all were informative, polite and very nice. We hope to call in again 2015 , well done all.
