  • Lovely welcome by staff. Our dog really enjoyed the woodland walk on the way to the terrace. We liked the sculptures dotted about. The terrace itself we found really atmospheric and it was easy to imagine the lords and ladies walking along admiring the changing views of the abbey through the 12 viewpoints. The building at the end was closed when we visited but we hope to see it another time.
  • Visited this beautiful setting on a typical summer day - sunny and showers. Enjoyed the peaceful woodland walk with the imaginative art installations. The Temples and controlled views of the Abbey gave you an idea of how the other half spent their money. All in all a great way to spend a few peaceful hours depending on how your fellow visitors behave.
  • Lovely place for a stroll on a sunny day. Good views especially down onto Rievaulx Abbey below. The banqueting house has been impressively restored to show how the rich used to visit to have their picnics!
  • We visit regularly and there is plenty to see and do
  • So much to learn about the Rievaulx whilst walking around listening to the commentary from the Walkman, spend hour's taking in the beauty of the place.
