  • Great place to spend a few hours on a nice day. The visitor centre is interesting, lots of wildlife to see out and about. Cafe could do with some improvment, probably best to take a picnic
  • We have been visiting the park regularly since we moved in in August 2016. We have found a variety of walks, really well maintained play equipment for our two boys; a fabulous cafe (try the breakfast!...  read more »
  • A few car parks to choose from, decent prices for all day parking. Visitor centre in the north, toilets were closed by the reservoir (which isn't really worth walking to as there's nothing much to see...  read more »
  • Huge park with plenty of of lead area for your dog, but you have to be aware around the lake as there are normally fishers do you need to keep your dog under control around them. They have a Tramper hire here so you can book that in advance. The cafe both near the car park and in the middle are very nice, but they are exceptionally limited if you have food allergies.
  • I'll always love Shipley Park with its great history and scenic views. It's recently new and improved exercise spots on its trim track are great fun and varied. One downfall is that the pond is always overrun by fisherman so you feel a bit obtrusive when feeding the birds!
  • Great for dogs, kids and long walks. Take your own drinks etc. Cafe is expensive and doesn't accept card payments.
  • Nice and quite lovely place to visit, plenty of different paths to walk round, and lovely view's
  • Lovely for riding, hassle free
