Norfolk Lavender, Heacham

Categories: Gardens, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
3.6/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web
A plant-lovers delight, Norfolk Lavender works throughout the year distilling and manufacturing lavender products. Though the sweet, purple lavender gardens are the most famous, you’ll also find a ton of other plants--from chamomile to lemon balm-- in the gardens and fields. Enjoy the outdoor play area and the many unique native breeds of animals on the farm. In the gift shop, buy lavender products made on location. If you stop for a bite at the cafe, try a slice of the Lavender Cake. Put Norfolk Lavender on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Heacham vacation route planner.

  • We were amazed to see the large number of different varieties of lavender growing and to actually smell the difference in aromas. The little gift shop was the perfect place for some unique presents.
  • lovely place to go lovely smells and wonderful shops and lovely cafe to and easy to get to great parking to

  • The staff were really friendly and helpful. Kiddies loved the play park, seeing the animals and the maze. Can't wait to come back
  • I took my disabled parents for what I thought, a lovely day out. The young staff serving in the shops were rude and unhelpful. After buying a mug, my mother asked if it came in a box. With no communication, the shop assistant disappeared and came back with a small box and charged us without evening asking. When I told her the mug wouldn't fit in the tiny box, she replied " well take the tissue paper off then" we asked for our money back. Struggling with my mother in a wheelchair and my father using his walking frame. The staff watched as we struggled to open the door to exit. Not one offered of help. My request to Norfolk Lavender. Please employ staff who want to be there, not young whippersnappers who are just there to earn money. Will NEVER return again! I gave them 1 star, although when I published this post it came up as 4.5 stars. Ridiculous.
  • We have been here several times and it is a really nice and relaxing place. And is free! You can buy all lavender products that are made there and some you can see being made. The plants for sale are a reasonably priced, and again you can see the stages of it and what they do. But some of there products in their shop are a bit over priced but this is probably as they are 'organic' and 'home made'. The tea shop is lovely and the staff are very helpful. Great day out for all the family.
  • Many wonderful visits as a child til now, thank you & keep up the great work
  • Excellent stop as part of a coach trip. Garden centre for plants and gift shop is enormous. Must point out that the "tiny" lavender field mentioned was probably just the samples show of the National Collection! The fields are only really noticeable when in flower - June-July depending on weather. Went Mid August but flowering finished. Lovely gardens to see too. Expensive to see a handful of animals though.
