Norfolk Lavender, Heacham
(3.4/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
A plant-lovers delight, Norfolk Lavender works throughout the year distilling and manufacturing lavender products. Though the sweet, purple lavender gardens are the most famous, you’ll also find a ton of other plants--from chamomile to lemon balm-- in the gardens and fields. Enjoy the outdoor play area and the many unique native breeds of animals on the farm. In the gift shop, buy lavender products made on location. If you stop for a bite at the cafe, try a slice of the Lavender Cake. Put Norfolk Lavender on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Heacham vacation route planner.

  • Well, all I can say is what a disappointment. My parents visited from the midlands and had been desperate to visit the famous lavender fields. Only to be told by the lady at the children's farm 'oh no we don't have any fields near by, they are all rented and dotted around - there are some near sandringham' ! Not quite what the website leads you to believe. The cafe was ok, busy but fairly efficient. The children's farm was a non event. We weren't allowed to handle any of the animals as they were 'over stimulated' and there was absolutely no shade provided for the children. Yes we could visit the gift shop but that was at another location and the car park is minuscule and we had to drive around 10 times before getting a space. Overall a very misleading disappointing treck around Norfolk!
  • If you go there to see wide lavender fields you will be disappointed. There is a big garden with lavender but that's all. Otherwise you can buy their products or, if you have kids, find a way to keep them busy in their playground.
  • I went to visit this place while i was with a camping rally i drove into a parking place close to the farm shop as i can't walk far and also my camper van had been broken into so the window was coverd with a big green sheet of plastic so i did'nt want it to be far out of my sight As i was about to get out this man had just got out his car and came over and said to me "I would'nt park thier" I asked politley oh why not? his reply was "I am the owner and i said i would'nt park thier with that vehicle" I then replied why not is thier a problem he then said "you are the problem being smart" I was not being smart at all i spoke politley to him and asked why i could not park in the space i was in I was not obstructing any other vehicles or people walking by nor was i blocking any footpaths ect . I was very upset by this pompass arse attiude so i drove away i did not want to see the place or stay thier a minute longer ..Maybe i would of been ok if i had parked up with a posh car and not my little camper van which by the way is a fully restored classic camper van!!! I only give this place one star rating just to get this posted they don't deserve a star at all!! Pomass Arrogant Owner
  • Great cafe and gardens. Gift shop a little pricey.
  • Marvellous place and a lovely perfumed walk around. Friendly staff and good parking.
