Norfolk Lavender, Heacham

#1 of 6 in Things to do in Heacham
A plant-lovers delight, Norfolk Lavender works throughout the year distilling and manufacturing lavender products. Though the sweet, purple lavender gardens are the most famous, you’ll also find a ton of other plants--from chamomile to lemon balm-- in the gardens and fields. Enjoy the outdoor play area and the many unique native breeds of animals on the farm. In the gift shop, buy lavender products made on location. If you stop for a bite at the cafe, try a slice of the Lavender Cake. Make Norfolk Lavender a part of your Heacham vacation plans using our Heacham day trip planning site .

We did not know there were so many varieties of lavender to grow, the smell was wonderful I wish we could have bottled it. Having loved lavender for as long as I can remember and having five varieties...  more »

Found this hidden gem with the family when we visited Farmer Freds Fun Barn. Was an interesting walk around for the kids and we (the adults) enjoyed the gift shops. Worth a visit as part of a vaster d...  more »

A really lovely place to spend the day with children under ten. The entrance to the animal area and playpark is very reasonably priced. The animals were beautifully set out and well cared for. The lit...  more »
  • If you're coming here from overseas don't bring large bills. Staff refused to accept a 50 note based on a subjective test.
  • If you go there to see wide lavender fields you will be disappointed. There is a big garden with lavender but that's all. Otherwise you can buy their products or, if you have kids, find a way to keep them busy in their playground.
  • Enjoyed this place - good to look around with a nice 'farm park'
  • The staff were really friendly and helpful. Kiddies loved the play park, seeing the animals and the maze. Can't wait to come back
  • I went to visit this place while i was with a camping rally i drove into a parking place close to the farm shop as i can't walk far and also my camper van had been broken into so the window was coverd with a big green sheet of plastic so i did'nt want it to be far out of my sight As i was about to get out this man had just got out his car and came over and said to me "I would'nt park thier" I asked politley oh why not? his reply was "I am the owner and i said i would'nt park thier with that vehicle" I then replied why not is thier a problem he then said "you are the problem being smart" I was not being smart at all i spoke politley to him and asked why i could not park in the space i was in I was not obstructing any other vehicles or people walking by nor was i blocking any footpaths ect . I was very upset by this pompass arse attiude so i drove away i did not want to see the place or stay thier a minute longer ..Maybe i would of been ok if i had parked up with a posh car and not my little camper van which by the way is a fully restored classic camper van!!! I only give this place one star rating just to get this posted they don't deserve a star at all!! Pomass Arrogant Owner
