This garden would be impressive in the spring, but I was disappointed at how little was blooming when I visited in early September. The Italian Garden was still lovely and I could see the potential fo... read more »

The privately-owned garden here is a delight, the highlight, in my view, being the lovely Italian garden with its pool and giant terracotta pots filled with summertime colour. Great little café on-sit... read more »
Probably the best garden we have visited. Lovely areas of shade on the hottest day of the year, beautiful borders and just the loveliest place to wander and recharge the batteries. A fabulous tea shop in the shade, with proper china and a huge teapot! At the moment there is also a sculpture trail with some great pieces to view - and buy !
Fantastic garden. My favourite over all the NT ones I visited in the area. Good kids play park too. The cafe is brilliant, lovely outdoor area, great food (it's next to Jeremy's Restaurant). We went in late August and almost had the park to ourselves =)
A wonderful group of gardens aesthetically laid out to please the body and mind. Far enough from the madding crowd but only a £3 taxi ride from a train to London or Brighton. A great place to get married, with champagne receptions on the south lawn and dinner over looking the lakes and the land from a marquee in the parkland, who could ask for more.
One of the most beautiful gardens in the UK. Friendly staff, very good restaurant and café. And you can take your dog to visit the garden. Simply fabulous!
