(4.8/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy sweeping ocean views at Godrevy Beach, a stretch of Cornish coast popular among surfers and walkers. The 4.8 km (3 mi) golden sand beach is sheltered by dunes fringed with vegetation, ending in a low, rocky headland. High cliffs and dramatic coves make the beach a scenic hike, while a lighthouse on an island just off the shore adds to the overall scenery. The beach can hold a swell of up to 2.4 m (8 ft), good for those just learning to surf. • The beach is a lovely tranquil spot, never very busy as it's not that accessible compared to others. There's often good surf and it's a great place to swim, body board and of course surf. The RNLI life guards are on station at the beach even outside the main holiday times. Behind the beach are sand dunes and some wetlands with plenty of birds and geese to watch. If you take children though, be aware it is easy to get disorientated in the dunes.
  • Beautiful expanse of sand, often visited by sandartist One Man And His Rake. Awesome surf
