  • Have been here many times. The food is always good (especially the Staffordshire oatcakes) and very very good value. Ice cream is excellent too. Cozy atmosphere; friendly staff.

  • We stayed at the Red Lion Campsite mid March for 2 nights. It is in an excellent location, lovely setting, surrounded by friendly farm animals. On site there is an owl sanctuary and a splendid tea room (with very friendly, helpful staff), serving excellent food, which was great value for money, and also served its own ice cream, made on the premises. We were a bit sceptical about the communal shower/toilet block after reading some of the previous reviews, however, we did not experience any problems with it and it served its purpose (will be even better once the new facilities are finished). The site is in a superb location, beautifully maintained, great value for money, a short walk to the local convenience store, 2 pubs, local butchers and bus routes. Fantastic walks from base through beautiful countryside. Will definitely be returning.
  • Fantastic little farm and the best Ice cream sold here in all of Staffordshire
  • Lovely way to kill a few hours with the nipper. Go see animals and have ice-cream heavenly.
  • Just great can't explain how great the food is
  • Great ice cream here and there is alpacas, goats, owls, horses, and cows to look at too!
