  • Nice walking. Info centre. Parking. Well kept locks and tow paths.
  • Hatton Locks are lovely. A gentle, friendly and tranquil place with wildlife and lovely wooded surroundings. A cafe serves lovely food and some reasonably priced souvenirs. There are helpful guides around to explain the canals and their development.
  • Hatton Locks is nicer than i imagined. Ots definitely worth the visit for the family. There's some parking but not a huge amount. Parking on Sunday only cost like £1.50 for the day! We brought our bikes and cycled along the canal. The paths are very good but must bear in mind there are many people enjoying the canal paths by foot. In summary a great place to visit a really nice day out by the locks and when you get hungry there are a couple of fab pubs to finish the visit.
  • Great walk for the two of us and our little four legged family member, who enjoyed more than us. You can do as little or as much walking, with a small central car park. The little café is clean and offers a good menu including scones (jam always first) to a fry up. Oppersit the main lock car park up a small hill is a very nice looking pub , can't remember the name but it looked very popular (car park full up). Would recommend walking shoes and a camera.
  • We parked overlooking the lock flight and ate our packed lunch, though later we found picnic tables. The canalside buildings are well maintained and used as a depot. The small cafe is two locks uphill from the car park. They serve lunches and teas. A group next to us was enjoying afternoon tea. We had a pot of tea and some tasty cake. Will visit again soon.
