  • Great place for a walk past the famous locks and out into the countryside to make it a bit longer. The flight of locks are so impressive, I've also come through on a narrow boat much harder work!  more »
  • What a lovely place to go for a stroll. We enjoyed seeing the succession of locks and had a good chat with a friendly crowd navigating the locks. Makes you appreciate the effort you have to go through...  more »
  • Just a great place to walk or watch the boats coming through the many locks. There is a nice looking, very busy cafe. Plenty of parking but we parked at the excellent pub at the top and walked down (a...  more »

  • An interesting place to walk along the Grand Union Canal connecting London to Birmingham. It has 166 locks and 21 of them are here! Mainly built between the two world wars last century this was a failed, but picturesque, attempt to compete with rail transport.
  • Lovely, many barges passing through here and great to watch them navigating the numerous locks. A decent cafe with lots of benches and tables outside if you want to eat al fresco.
  • Very interesting place, good café serving a wide selection of food. Formed part of an extremely enjoyable day out.
  • Great day out with the other half! Relaxing and AMAZING cafe! Has a great selection and gluten free options which i was completely pleasently suprised at! Not too keen on the local restaurant in comparison, which also suprised me, not impressed with that at all!
  • An easily accessible car park. Lovely views and walks. Good cafe, access to the pub from car park and to Hatton Country World across the fields. Ducks swans and lots of other birds to ve seen.
