  • I had a very good day out up in the peak district walking amongst the rocks and the lovely heather on a great sunny day.
  • great walk, need walking boots to ensure ankle safety. See the newly replaced Stanage Pole, fairly good going under foot
  • We walked for a good 4 hours and stop for lunch at the top of the hill with beautiful view. Comfortable path and no too bad for children but can be quite windy at the top.
  • Stacks of climbing! Good views - not the best in the peaks due to the view if the cement works but it's only a small spot in the horizon. Nice walk along the top.
  • Very likely to be the most visited climbing crag in the UK. However, walkers are very frequent and the walks offer rewarding views. Be careful on a windy day though as many people have been literally blown off the edges. Lower car park is charged, all contributions to towards preserving the local habitat. Upper parking (at Stanage Popular) is free but contributions are voluntary and very welcome. Alternatively you can purchase an annual parking car ticket/sticker.
  • A good walk with good views. Can be craggy. Not for fast food families
  • One of Britain's best natural wonders!
  • Great for climbing and walking, sheep are a pain however.
