It is a truly unique facility with a full size band stand looking over the pool which is often in use. Every third Friday of the month during the summer the pool hosts a "Night Swim" with live bands on the band stand allowing customers to swim whilst listening to a variety of music. • Excellent Pool. A credit to the Parish Council who run it. Well worth it - especially during summer. Try it as alternative to the cosy leisure centres we seem to depend on these days. Visited end of March 2015. Weather was grim - windy plus hail and sleet. However, warmth and enthusiasm of staff helped in big way. There was something very British about the experience. The sight of the lifeguard patrolling with an overcoat on brings back stories of resolve in adversity - Scott of the Antarctic, Icebergs around the Titanic. Would definitely go again. Recommend adjoining cafe also. Weather and water were 'fresh' on second visit early morning. Cup of tea and biscuit post swim provided excellent resuscitation.
  • Brilliant pool in summer - if you can get in. The pool is heated so if you actually want to swim lengths it's best to go when it's cloudy - on sunny days it will be very busy and hard to swim without dodging people constantly. It would have been a 5* review but getting in on a nice day is such a pain - the pool is open in 2 hour slots to the general public, with members only slots in between. You have to get there 20 mins early and queue to make sure you get in. Membership is possible but for anyone in Sheffield it is far too expensive to be worthwhile at £180!
  • Lovely
  • Where else will you find an outdoor heated swimming pool in the UK, which shows films at night in the middle of October?
  • Dirty pool, cold water and over crowded, never go here.
