  • Spent a lovely afternoon swimming here with my daughter in the rain. The cafe was great too. Well worth a visit.  more »
  • I swim a lot, wherever I go. I have never, ever, however, swam in a pool as filthy or as cloudy as this. I didn't realise until I got in - I find it extraordinary that the staff/management could keep ...  more »
  • My girlfriend and I visited whilst staying in the Peak District and had an amazing time. The staff were so friendly and it was a great way to spend a Sunday lunchtime, swimming outside. We can't wait ...  more »
  • Lovely outdoor heated pool in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District. There's something a bit special about swimming outdoors and that is magnified once a month on a Friday when you can swim to the sun setting and a live band playing in the poolside bandstand. A very friendly place.
  • Wonderful outdoor pool. Great location in Hathersage which is a nice little village. Nice clean, warm water (during the heated season) and the facilities are good. Try and go on a slightly overcast or cooler day to avoid the crowds though. It's expensive for a swim, but worth for a special treat.
  • Supposedly the world's best swimming pool as listed by The Times newspaper in 2014/15. How can I argue with this when I swim there regularly when it's dark, cold, sunny, foggy, snowy , etc and you can see the wonderful Stanage Edge.
  • Swimming in picture perfect Pennine scenery is a wonderful thing to do.
  • Great pool, lovely atmosphere, not too crowded (feeling a bit sorry for people who queued but didn't get in - but it was sunny so we got there early). A 2 hour session is about right, it's not Spain!
