Pett Level Beach, Hastings

(130+ reviews on the web)
Beach
Experience a picturesque English coastline at Pett Level Beach, a wild shore characterized by smooth pebbles and a backdrop of cliffs. Take a walk or bike ride here, but remember to wrap up in cold weather, as it's a challenge to ward off the relentless winds. In warmer months, the beach's calm waters make for easy swimming; just be careful not to swim too close to the cliffs in case of falling rocks, and wear aqua shoes to protect your feet. If you have time, explore the seaside village or check out the fossilized forest dating back to the last ice age. Find the forest at the end of the beach during low tide. • Great to come and stroll along. My kids particularly loved it due to the ratio of sand to stone! Easy to park, and not many visitors. Worth the drive out in my opinion.  more »
  • Had a nice walk here in April. There's reasonable parking very close to the beach, and very few people actually come here - especially compared to the nearby Hastings beach.  more »
  • We had a blustery walk along the shingle on a windy March morning, it cerainly blew the cobwebs away  more »
