  • Harvington Hall is a magnificent noble House enclosed by a moat and located in the middle of a great campaign. It is best to visit this Castle a little away from the highways to the summer season. This wonder who has been saving extremis of destruction goes back to the medieval period. The most surprising touch however the resurgent era with the many "priest holes" or hiding places to allow Catholic priests persecuted after the break between England and Roman Catholicism. The home is charming and the context explained with a great sense of pedagogy. Harvington combines beauty and national history.

  • It doesn't belong to either of the big two, so it has a charm all of it's own, without any corporate branding. The led tour seemed like a bit too much info for us so we decided on the free audio guides. These were great, just enough info without needing to stand around for ever. The priest holes are probably the most interesting bit and I would recommend the video in the brew house for a real peak at them. The tea room is a gem and worth heading off any coach parties to get a table for a light lunch.
  • Peaceful place, very historical with picturesque garden. This is a true treasure of English heritage and a must see for anybody interested in this period of history. The lady that guided us, was very captivating and knowledgeable. The tea rooms are very nice and friendly.
  • This is a beautiful house, full of historical facts and there is a lot to see. There are many rooms with many interesting stories. The gardens are lovely and I would highly recommend.
  • Excellent place for a day out. Me and girlfriend went a couple of weeks ago and tagged along on a tour which really opened up the secrets of harvington hall and gave us a real insight into what the house would have been like. There was also a play being held in the rear garden not something we are particularly interested in but from what we could see they performed it well.
  • Good day out, interesting history and well looked after. The priest holes a well documented and fascinating relic which are well worth seeing. Lovely cakes and tea.
