  • Great, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Dog friendly. Our kids loved it (age 3 and 6). Keep an eye on little ones though as there are a few treacherous areas with big drops and no railings. On site cafe very reasonable. Accessible toilets and cafe. Parts of the museum would not be accessible by wheelchair or buggy dues to stairs. With gift aid your ticket lasts a year. Great place.
  • A very interesting place to visit, as it a real part of history. The staff are very knowledgeable and make the visit well worth while, good cafe with home cooked food.
  • This place is run by volunteers, if you can get a guide in here I'd advise it, it's so informative and interesting.
  • Very friendly welcome. We were late in the day so the lady let us in for a donation instead of the normal entry fee. Then gave a personal tour - thank you.
  • Excellent little museum made even better by the volunteer tour guides who are always happy to show people round and answer questions. A very hands-on museum, where things aren't behind glass cases and you can get to handle de-activated rifles and machine guns etc. Fab little cafe on site. Great views out to sea and on an excellent circular walk around the headland of Hartlepool.
