  • A very interesting and informative visit. Very helpful and knowledgeable volunteers. A good collection of guns in this restored historic site.

  • Fantastic family fun! Guns! Tanks! More guns! Very educational. Nice cafe.
  • Pulled up as the man was locking up at 3pm when the sign on the door said they closed at 4. Wasn't best pleased, they should stick to opening times.
  • Good musium which dezcribes the hell during HRtlepools bombardment. Cafe could do with a revamp.
  • Lots to see. Staff very helpful and knowledge. Lovely little cafe on site. Well with a visit. Don't forget only WW1 battlefield in the UK.
  • If you like display museums, with displays outdoors of world war guns and equipment, you'll enjoy this more than me. One of its claims to fame is the first shelled place in the UK by German battleships. You could also go into the gun emplacements where there were more static displays of how it was used, and some of them were very interesting. Just not really my thing.
