  • The very well maintained castle is privately held and the successors still live in a part. I would respect the dedication with which the guides describe the whole history around it, but it's a bit too...  more »
  • Spent a lovely day here. Very knowledgeable tour guide called Margot brought the castle to life and the grounds and gardens are just beautiful. Nice gift shop, arty shop and tea rooms.  more »

  • Wonderful place, nice walks and scenery with amazing castle to walk around via guided tour. A great place to take the family for a day out to enjoy the gardens and big lake, then maybe buy an ice cream at the local village ice cream shop. Well worth the visit and free parking too.
  • A great place to visit for a stroll around their extensive gardens and historic building. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and did a great job.
  • Beautiful castle and gardens. Very knowledgeable guides. Reduced prices mid week.
  • Lovely place to spend a day outside. Beside seeing the castle itself, you can have a walk around the lake and see a herd of deer from a short distance! There is also a lovely souvenir shop.
