  • We had no idea what to expect when we dropped in on the off chance. Wow, what a surprise; free parking, free entry to the park and grounds (weekdays only I think). The Walled garden was beautiful and ...  more »

  • Ripley Castle remains a family home and is all the better for that. The house can be seen via a guided tour, which was very interesting and well presented by the guide, and the house itself has a fasc...  more »

  • Enjoyed our visit although we didn't go into castle as we were too late. The grounds have some good walks. There is free car parking in the village. Will definitely make a return visit to see the castle.
  • Only toured round the gardens not the castle. Would have been better to see the flowers maybe in July as the borders were beginning to die back. Still some blooms to see though. Lots of woodlands to walk round but floral display wasn't exciting so maybe a visit to castle as well would be better. Gardens are free to see weekdays though so worth noting that.
  • Great day out for families. Large grounds for walking, lots to discover, wild animals and plants, events and activities on at different times of the year. Just a nice place to go!
  • Tour guide was excellent. Grounds were extensive with deer roaming. Lakeside walk was lovely. Walled garden was beautifully maintained. Food good but Service was slow in cafe.
  • Lovely setting and great cafe. Went for a segway tour around the grounds which was nice though maybe a little tame for some.
