  • Wonderful place, nice walks and scenery with amazing castle to walk around via guided tour. A great place to take the family for a day out to enjoy the gardens and big lake, then maybe buy an ice cream at the local village ice cream shop. Well worth the visit and free parking too.
  • Lovely place to spend a day outside. Beside seeing the castle itself, you can have a walk around the lake and see a herd of deer from a short distance! There is also a lovely souvenir shop.
  • What a truely breathtaking place! I loved walking round the grounds and my ice cream from The Tea Room.
  • Really stunning visited on a beautiful sunny day in July 2016 and delighted no entry charge during the week. This is one of those beautiful tucked away places that everyone should visit. Great Cafe and shop and acres of space for walking and taking in that wonderful fresh Yorkshire air. Breathtaking views. Great space for kids as adventure areas. Also beautiful walled gardens. Really loved my day there.
