  • As one of the premier RHS gardens I was looking forward to spending time at Harlow Carr. They were pleasant enough but generally underwhelming in a number of respects. Firstly, for a show piece garden...  more »

  • Harlow Carr is a beautiful garden to visit but it's expensive to get in. Betty's tea room is handy and not as busy as in Harrogate. The shop is fantastic.  more »

  • Staff very welcoming. Decent size to be able to walk the entire place and feel very satisfied. I did so on crutches so it's certainly a one day garden. Take your own food unless you don't mind paying attraction outlet prices, which is catered for. Time and effort is invested in the maintenance of the grounds, brilliant! Most plants are labeled with Latin names. Great for testing your horticulture credentials.
  • Lovely hardens spread over a large area. Good mix of designs from formal gardens to more naturalistic displays. There are also children's play areas to keep the young ones entertained.
  • Relaxed place that is enjoyable to wonder round wish I had more time to go
  • Great if you're a member, not great if you're paying the admission each time, a nice way to spend an hour or two
  • A feast of nature and colours, an amazing place to bring kids to run around. And they have two Bettys tea rooms!
