Nidderdale Llamas, Harrogate

4.8
#1 of 16 in Outdoors in North Yorkshire
Farm Tourist Spot
Try llama trekking and explore the picturesque Yorkshire countryside at Nidderdale Llamas. This family farm will introduce you to llamas and alpacas that, despite their proverbial "spitting" reputation, remain well behaved and friendly. However, they are quite diverse in character and temperament, which is obvious judging from their names--Cool Dude, Sensitive Soul, Party Animal, and Absolute Star are just some of the residents you'll likely meet. Although this is a family-friendly attraction, it may not suitable for children under the age of seven. • I initially thought this listing was fake, who would have thought llamas were around in the Yorkshire Dales? A small group of us went for a 2 hour walk and were blown away by the knowledge and friendliness of Suzanne who accompanied us on our walk. I can honestly say I learned more about llamas than I ever thought I would and had a lot of fun in the process.
  • This place is absolutely amazing. We did the camelid experience today and loved every minute of it. I wish I had booked the whole day. We so didn't want to leave the beautiful Llamas and Alpacas. They have beautiful loving animals and lovely staff, tremendous views and are highly organized and make you feel immediately at ease when walking through the door. All I can say is that we can't wait to come back! So glad we have found this gem so close to home and hope to visit often and become part of the Llama Alpaca family!
  • Unique experience, fun for couples, kids, family, and anyone outdoor loving. Super-friendly staff and even friendlier llamas.
  • Enjoyable half day experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of opportunities to interact with the llamas and alpacas. Great views across the valley during the trek with the animals.
  • Great experience, even on a soggy wet day. Lovely scenery, great guides, lovely animals and a lot of fun.
