  • We've been to this pub lots of time. It's a small country pub with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The owners are always really nice and welcoming and the layout is cosy. The choice of ales and non...  more »
  • We were met with wonderful views towards Liverpool on a Sunday afternoon. The pub is also a post office and had lots of information leaflets and maps. On entering the bar our eyes were drawn to the ce...  more »
  • Lovely little local, without the feeling of imposing as a non local. Very welcoming and a fab arcade game.

  • If you like your pubs to serve draught beer forced through pipes with nitrogen... or maybe you like your pseudo larger chilled to the point where it's (mercifully) impossible to taste. And if you like to watch football on 56" screens 17 hours per day... and a piped music system that plays earworms that fight constantly with the footy pundits. And if you like the staff to greet you with "you alright there mate?" even though they don't give a tuppenny damn whether you are alright or not... you're in the wrong pub. But if you appreciate a proper pub with a warm embrace, real music, drinks that are stored and served like the makers intended..... try this one. It doesn't have gourmet dining, mahogany toilet seats or liveried bar staff and Dyson hand driers. It's way too good for that uniform, pretentious artificial "customer care" approach. It's a pub like pubs are supposed to be. OK it's a post office too...and the coffee is great... and... Oh just visit and see for yourself.
  • Our guests tell us they love having the award winning Blue Bell Inn, within walking distance of our holiday apartment, Tyn Y Mynydd Bach. They always get a warm welcome and enjoy the company and the ales. Plus it's gently downhill on the way back! The free guided walks around Halkyn Mountain (starting and finishing at the Blue Bell Inn) are also very popular, as they offer an opportunity to both explore the local countryside and gain an insight into the rich history of the area.
  • But then I'm biased! First class organic and fairtrade tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Award winning real ales and ciders, great wines, at least 20 unusual single malt whiskies. Quality soft drinks and snacks. Bar games Post Office (free banking / cash withdrawals, mail, currency including buyback, etc)
  • If your looking for a good time it's the place to be, one of the few real pub's remaining
  • Great pub, one of the best in the area! Award winning and with events and entertainment regularly! Great for real ales and cider
