  • Great little pub, fantastic ales & ciders, local folk music & small pool table (50p). Amazing view out the window, great service, welcoming to all including dogs & small children. Also a post office!  more »
  • What a lovely place. We called in after a walk in the very pretty local area. Fantastic range of beers, and especially ciders. They also serve a wide variety of interesting hot and cold soft drinks. A...  more »
  • We've been to this pub lots of time. It's a small country pub with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The owners are always really nice and welcoming and the layout is cosy. The choice of ales and non...  more »
  • If your looking for a good time it's the place to be, one of the few real pub's remaining
  • Great music and atmosphere in a brilliant community pub

  • If you like your pubs to serve draught beer forced through pipes with nitrogen... or maybe you like your pseudo larger chilled to the point where it's (mercifully) impossible to taste. And if you like to watch football on 56" screens 17 hours per day... and a piped music system that plays earworms that fight constantly with the footy pundits. And if you like the staff to greet you with "you alright there mate?" even though they don't give a tuppenny damn whether you are alright or not... you're in the wrong pub. But if you appreciate a proper pub with a warm embrace, real music, drinks that are stored and served like the makers intended..... try this one. It doesn't have gourmet dining, mahogany toilet seats or liveried bar staff or Dyson hand driers. It's way too good for that uniform, pretentious artificial "customer care" approach. It's a pub like pubs are supposed to be. OK it's a post office too...and the coffee is great... and... Oh just visit and see for yourself.
  • The most incredible, real ale, good entertainment, great company, perfectly hosted pub that I have ever had the privilege and pleasure to enter! And to top it all . . . a post office as welll!!
