  • Slightly different to the usual historic house in that its full of pianos, clavichords and harpsichords! I really liked it, completely different to what I've seen before. We were really lucky that someone was also playing the organ in one of the rooms. Make sure you do the cellar tour, really needs to be better scripted and presented but its free. We picked up a few nice plants too and they were quite cheap. Nice place, would go back.

  • The Slyvanian Trial woods was most appreciated and the the long walk around the grounds was enjoyable. House worth checking out.
  • Amazing keyboard instrument collection, fine house and very walkable parkland. House is only open four days a week (Sun, Tue-Thu); the gardens and parkland every day from 10:30. Winter hours may differ. Good food in the cafe; shop has wide range of the usual NT items. They did a deal (10%) on bulk purchase of this summer's NT curd jars.
  • The house was full of pianos and people. Didn't feel I got to know the house. Big grounds for family and lots of activity for children but we won't go again.
