  • As this is free entry you cant really complain about anything. You have to park in the village and walk the short distance to the ruin. Castle is great 1/2 tumble down for the kids to explore, not very big, but had the place to ourselves, but mindful of the normal ruin issues of unprotected drops etc. Good free way to use up a few hours and see some of the history... • A gorgeous little castle that you can get up close to, touch and climb on. History feels so much more real without velvet ropes.
  • Lovely castle left for you to climb over and explore. Maybe try a game of tennis ball cricket in the keep too.
  • Free castle. Great acoustics.
  • Free, dead quiet on a warm summer's weekend and very impressive! Really enjoyed the village pub too
