We were passing through Torrington, and this happened to be next to the car park. It didn't look especially promising, but... what a brilliant place. Quiet, charming garden and excellent tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes. Most importantly, the girl that served us was utterly lovely - friendly, helpful and polite. Can't recommend enough.
This is well worth a visit. My grandson enjoyed the history of the civil war described with humour by the excellent guides. He was a bit perturbed by the medical practices of those times!
Friendly and excellent guides. Also recommendable for children. The food and the service of the cafe is briliant!
Great for all ages.
