  • What a hive of activity for such a small market town. It has food, live events, workshops, films, art galaries and exercise classes. The Plough entertains, inspires, educates and challenges you in equ...  more »

  • A brilliant small theater and cinema. They have recently invested in a digital projector, so they don't have to show all movies on tape now, so that is great, also they have a lovely café / restaurant for you to buy drinks and snacks, or enjoy some food before or after you have seen something in the auditorium. Or, you can just come for some beautiful lunch.
  • EXCELLENT ARTS CINEMA which shows a variety of unusual films from around the world, plus an entertaining selection of more mainstream movies, too. Normally has three or four films each week; current releases, often foreign language, art house and just plain unusual films which don't get shown in multiplexes. The staff are also very happy to accept suggestions if there's something you'd specifically like to see. They have an extended range of films during school holidays with plenty of matinees for the kids and movies for the mature audience in the evenings. Tickets reasonably priced (around £6) and can be prebooked with your choice of seating. Seats are on the small side, and theatre can be chilly in winter (so wear a woolly!). Great cafe for drinks, coffees, lunch and dinner; worth booking a table for meals. The Plough also hosts live entertainment, music, comedians, workshops etc. Definitely worth a visit. 10/10
  • Friendly local theatre and cinema, we are lucky to have this in our small town!
  • Good venue - films drama, comedy all sorts. Good bar, good food
  • A great venue for films or high quality acts. Have had great night's out here and equally good food during the day.
