  • A very good breakfast made from lovely produce. My tea was made using loose tea leaves better than teabags. Like most farm shops it is not cheap but they have quality goods.
  • First time visit, and wont be the last. Came for a light lunch with a friend and really enjoyed it. I had the vegetarian breakfast which was delicious. The vegetarian sausage was very nice, everything...  more »
  • I've enjoyed visiting the shop and the tearooms over the last few weeks while staying in Great Haywood with my sick mother. It's a been a real respite to have half an hour in the day to get something ...  more »

  • Great selection of local produce, a well stocked butchers. always worth a visit - so support local businesses. I will try out Canalside cafe next time we are there
  • Great selection of food which is freshly prepared. Lovely waterside location, ideal if your a walker as its the starting point from many nice walks along the Trent and Mersey canal network.
  • The kids had a great time picking strawberries. The nearby cafe was nice and cosy too.
  • Restaurant and farm shop specialising in local produce. Lovely setting by the canal with outside seating. The food in the café is good, and daily specials are usually also available in the shop. Seasonal plant sales and pick your own strawberries. Have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful. There's a map of local walks on the wall of the café. I usually try and visit when in the area and would definitely recommend it.
  • Pleasantly situated on the edge of Cannock Chase and next to a canal, this country cafe serves a varied menu throughout the day. Staff are rather aloof but nevertheless quite efficient. Walkers and cyclists are welcome. A well-stocked farm shop is on the same site. UPDATE SAT. 25/6/2016. Called in with my partner at lunchtime for our favourite beefburger meal but found it was no longer on the menu. The staff did not know the reason although burgers are sold in the farm shop butchers. Anyway, we looked at the menu and I ordered gammon, chips and peas. My partner ordered panini, chips and salad. My meal with the chunky chips was ok but my partner had straight-cut oven chips and she did not enjoy the taste of them. She was right, they did not taste nice at all. I think the cafe has gone down-hill and we will be going elsewhere in future.
