  • I took my boys to visit the gardens on a gloriously sunny october afternoon. I had been before, but Easton Lodge is always a fascinating place to return to. The tree house was new I think, and everyth...  more »
  • I suppose I am biased towards the gardens. They were the venue for our daughter's wedding reception. We had a large marquee on the croquet lawn and the whole day was magical. Our guests were able to d...  more »
  • A beautiful spot off the beaten track. We went in the Spring and it was lovely. We spent about 3 hours there walking and sitting in the sun. The dog loved it too!  more »

  • Easton Lodge Gardens are the remains of the estate of Easton Lodge, a mansion once owned by Daisy, Countess of Warwick, mistress to Edward VII. The lodge was demolished, but the gardens, partly restructured by Harold Petto, exist but in not fully restored state. There is a huge Victorian walled garden and a Petto sunken Italianate garden both in the process of renovation. All restoration is carried out by willing preservation trust volunteers so progress can't as rapid as it might be otherwise. The gardens are open a few days each year. To get full benefit of the visit it is probably worth waiting for an event day. There is a small neat refreshment 'shack' with outdoor umbrella tables and chairs. Car parking is off-road and there is a small entry charge which goes towards the upkeep of the garden. Worth a visit, especially if you can take in St Mary's Church in the village, where are found impressive monuments to Daisy's Maynard family.
  • Lovely gardens lovingly cared for by volunteers. Home made cakes available too!
  • Lovely gardens. We went to see the snow drops
  • Romantic gardens with a fascinating history and maintained by enthusiastic volunteers. Check out their web site for their Open days.
  • Lovely day out at Easton Lodge. Snowdrops were so impressive
