We stayed in Billing Aquadrome this weekend because we wanted to attend the balloon festival. I hadn't been to the site before but assumed that it would be similar to the many other campsites that I h... more »

The advert said £5. Per adult . No mention of the £5 to park the car needed to get there. And despite waiting all day all we got to see was a few balloons bob about but none went up. Nothing to do but... more »

Went with my daughter for a children's Birthday party. The swimming pool was nice, although a little cosmetic maintenance is needed. The changing rooms, I didn't enjoy at all. They were like a sauna, even after I had dried off I couldn't get my clothes on. The floors were also completely soaked/flooded because of this. The soft play upstairs was brilliant for the younger age group, can't fault that at all. The staff seemed lovely, but I didn't have much interaction with them. My 3 stars is for the changing room. It really did drag the experience down.
The caravan was not cleaned properly, other people on site had the same experience, I will not be returning for this reason. It's a shame really as all the staff are friendly and it's a nice site. Lost 3 stars because caravan floor had dried up food on it and toilet was still dirty. Sack the cleaner's.
If it weren't for the beautiful weather during my stay, the score would have been lower. When first arriving at the site, you're duped into believing you've found a little Eldorado among campsites (the surroundings are stunning), but you quickly find out how wrong you were. The facilities were far from great; you only go to the bathroom when you really had no other choice, as it meant having to find that cubicle that was actually fit for purpose (at least moderately clean with at least some toilet paper available). As it seemed that the facilities were not looked after, that was always a big ask. The showers weren't much better; not clean, badly lit and mostly cold water only. The site itself was somewhat dilapidated and so was everything on it. All you need to know about the pub onsite is that it was rundown, located at what can be best decribed as a Birmingham back alley and bouncers were already on duty at 2pm when I wanted to get a beer. The funfair next to the pub resembled Banksy's Dismalland more than that it had anything to do with fun. There's security onsite, but they seemed to busy with more pressing things, meaning that the family doing handbrake-turns in their car on one of the fields got away with it, as well as the other family who insisted on flying a drone closely above other people's tents. I've been at many other campsites, most of which were cheaper and better maintained than this one, so just keep on looking for a different one if you're considering pitching up here.
on a family holiday, really enjoyed billing last year with some fantastic entertainment staff despite poor weather. unfortunately appears to have gone down hill now, better weather, but entertainment was very disappointing. team of 5 last year has been reduced to 1, with a complete lack of atmosphere in venue. such a shame after so much improvement last year.
Ok campsite, Its nice and peaceful no annoying children can have a nice relax
