It is a huge building and outside looks a bit like the Royal Pavillion of Brighton, although that's less glitzy. Even here on the main Pavilion dominate domes that are seen in the distance. It is on the outskirts of the city and can be reached from the Centre in about 10 minutes on foot. A filthy parking lot surrounds the temple all around and ruin the pictures. I came here last Saturday and the parking lot was full of cars from which flowed down ladies with saree and turbaned Lords who went inside. But there were too many Indians, especially the younger, Western-style clothes. I walked myself but I stopped in the Grand main lobby although I could go further; for respect of praying I didn't. I have seen that besides the lobby there was a salon where they gathered the Indians, probably for praying, having taken off his shoes.
My first Sikh wedding. An amazing experience. Everyone at the Temple very polite, helpful and friendly and they weren't all there for the wedding. An amazing place to visit.
