  • OMG the smell was delicious so had to go in to buy some gingerbread. Also ginger fudge which is best fudge I've ever had. Unfortunately the shop is small and busy so not enough time to stand and browse at the excellent items they sell, they have some great gift ideas. I wanted one of their tote bags but unfortunately they had ran out of them, can order on line but postage more than the 2.50 bag!
  • Just lovely. Must be the nicest gingerbread in the world, never tasted anything like it. The downside for me is that I live in Cornwall so, it's a bit far to nip up and get some! A friend is going up soon so I'll be able to stock up ! Open a shop in Cornwall please, promise I'll be your best customer! 😄
  • There is only one place for gingerbread and it is here at Sarah Nelson's. It may be small inside but the choice of produce is plentiful and superb. The distinct aroma of ginger hits you as you walk through the door. Very friendly staff it is always busy but the wait is worth it!!
  • Must-visit super-quaint, and historic little place. I always pop in when I'm in the area. Do read the posters about the history of the shop and the lady who started it, although unfortunately due to its size it's difficult to hang around and it's usually an in-and-out visit, especially in peak season. The gingerbread is of course really tasty - but I'd suggest not over-buying because it's best when it's very fresh and only a day or two old (then it starts going hard). They also have a pretty good selection of other confectionery, much of it ginger flavoured.
  • Lovely place. Very little place offering lots of home made charming products. The gingerbread is extraordinary
