  • Amazing evening with Corney and Barrow wine tasting (South Africa) and Kirsten from Mountain Cafe. Fab food, fab wine. Thank you Donna and Colin xx
  • We have just been unlucky in our timing, but we had to wait some time to be served. Having said that the coffee and cakes were wonderful. Maybe I'm just too impatient!
  • My partner, his father and I came here for lunch on the day of the car show on the high street. We sat inside although there was a lovely seating area outside the seats were all taken and no wonder as...  more »

  • We spend a lot of time in the High Street Merchants and probably eat more cake and drink more coffee than is strictly good for us. But there is a good reason for that and it's a combination of the cafe/gallery being a great place to sit and meet friends and have a chat and the fact that the food and coffee is excellent. Apart from the home made cakes (try the Espresso cake), they sell lots of other things, such as great soups, massive tasty cheese scones, bagels with lovely salads and served with things like venison, smoked salmon or cheese. The owner and staff are really friendly and welcoming. I live in Grantown and don't know what I'd do without the High Street Merchants. Highly recommended
  • The High St Merchants is one of my favourite places. From the lovely welcome you receive as you enter, to the amazing food, homemade cakes, real coffee and fabulous service. Donna and Colin have delivered something very special in the area. An added bonus is the tasteful artwork on display and the lovely gifts on offer. We're really looking forward to tasting their new Spey IPA and No.74 brews. My only complaint is that we're not able to visit more often.
  • Stopped off here for a quick coffee just before closing, the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more welcoming. The coffee was bloody good and reasonably priced too!
  • Wonderful place to eat and relax. Very friendly service. Food is good as is their home brewed beer ! Desserts are awesome :-)
  • Lovely lunch with a friend yesterday, delicious food and very friendly staff. Glad we booked as very busy. Will return !
