  • I love the gardens at Holker Hall, and the house is a classic. It is possible to wander the gardens and although they are popular, they are always peaceful. The little tea room specialises in wholesom...  more »
  • When we arrived, we first visited the Hall which was big and well decorated with lots of lovely paintings. There was a lot of interesting history in each room. But the highlight for us were the garden...  more »

  • Pretty regular visitor here. Lovely place
  • Had Afternoon Tea with the head gardener as part of a new tour. It was fabulous. The weather was perfect and the tour informative, relaxed and very enjoyable. The afternoon tea that followed was delicious and served in the newly refurbished restaurant. I will definitely do it again, maybe each season, or dusk walks around the grounds!
  • Did the Christmas market... ok, but very busy i'll go later in the day next time...
  • The Hall and Gardens are very well displayed, with lots to see around the various areas of the gardens. Whether the house is interesting depends on whether you are interested in old stately houses and their stories. Visitors are free to wander around those parts of the building that are open to the public and their are guides/stewards on hand to answer questions or give background information.
  • Enjoyed out visit to the Hall and gardens. Some really nice walks to be had around the grounds.
