  • I love this place... a real hidden gem. The peaceful surroundings make you quickly forget that you are in the busy Southeast. The house oozes romance, especially when you know that Jane Austen was a frequent visitor...her brother Edward married into the Brooks family who resided here. It is said that this place was the inspiration for Austen's novel, Pride and Prejudice. The gardens are a delight too, a beautifully kept walled garden with an enticing organic fruit and veg area. There is a lovely woodland walk called the Serpentine so you can literally walk in the footsteps of Jane Austen too. Pay one visit and I bet you will have to return again and again
  • I can only rate it up to 5 stars but it needs more. This place is amazing. I think you need to put it on your bucket list of holidays in the UK.
