Big Burn Walk, Golspie
Categories: Hiking Trails, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Cross rushing waterfalls surrounded by moss-covered rocks at Big Burn Walk. This scenic walk takes visitors on a tour under old arched railway bridges, over footbridges crossing bubbling feeder streams, and uphill along the side of a stream. A footbridge between two rock walls at the entrance of the gorge leads eventually to a series of spectacular waterfalls, and finally above the waterfalls to the mill pond at the end. Expect a great number of steps and uneven surfaces, and come prepared with adequate walking shoes. Many picnic spots and benches along the way allow you to rest and picnic if you like.
