Big Burn Walk, Golspie
(4.9/5 based on 75+ reviews on the web)
Cross rushing waterfalls surrounded by moss-covered rocks at Big Burn Walk. This scenic walk takes visitors on a tour under old arched railway bridges, over footbridges crossing bubbling feeder streams, and uphill along the side of a stream. A footbridge between two rock walls at the entrance of the gorge leads eventually to a series of spectacular waterfalls, and finally above the waterfalls to the mill pond at the end. Expect a great number of steps and uneven surfaces, and come prepared with adequate walking shoes. Many picnic spots and benches along the way allow you to rest and picnic if you like. • Wonderful sights and very quiet walk full of water, waterfalls, and scenery. Not overly long, can be 40 minutes to 1.5 hours. Reasonably well maintained, can be muddy in sections, but we've enjoyed it...  more »
  • Nothing to strenuous and a lovely to be up close to the falls. Can get muddy but that's nature. Good chance for wildlife in the area and information boards are around to help
  • An gorgeous gorge walk. Fantastic surroundings as you follow the burn as it cascades down the valley. Various lengths of walks and very dog friendly.
