Godshill Model Village, Godshill

(4.7/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Godshill Model Village is home to three sequentially smaller scale village models of itself. The actual village is home to almost 1,500 people. There visit the parish church where you'll see a medieval mural of a Lily crucifix and William Morris' stained-glass windows. Refresh yourself at Griffin Pub and make your way through the Griffin-shaped maze. The first scale model of the actual village is one-tenth the its size and houses a second model of itself, and a third model rests inside that: this is the smallest of all. This last oddity requires careful investigation to appreciate its detailed craftsmanship. • If you like the world in miniature this is one of the best Model villages in the country. Lots to see and find and all the figures are made by hand and all have characters of their own.
  • A good sized model village which can take a whole to go round. Has a train and little red squirrels for the children or adults to find. I couldn't find them all but we found it fun.
  • Awesome lovely model village. All age people can enjoy, specially kids. Well maintained nice and clean environment. Each and every models are beautiful. To hard work done to create a model. Model working trains is the main attraction for kids and elders. Very nice place.
  • Absolutely charming place to take the Children (or just yourselves!) As a family, we loved it! Great attention to detail & very cleverly created. Really enjoyed the experience. Lovely staff & my children thoroughly enjoyed the gift shop & spending their pocket money there on very well priced and a good range of gifts. Highly recommended. Really well run!
  • Lovely model village of places in the Isle Of Wight for all ages. Gardens are kept in excellent condition.
