  • We visited the old original abbey. This lays right at the end of the long lane, way past the gift shop and the more modern building that is no longer used by the monks. The original abbey is so spirit...  more »
  • We visited on a cold and grey winter's day so not the best time to view the place, It did seem to make the grey building very austere and uninviting. The setting is stunning and well worth walking up ...  more »

  • Great place to visit. Besides the monastery it has a wonderful bird park and lovely gardens to walk around. The monastery is about 1/3 of mile trek from the cafe which is on site also. The views and scenery are outstanding and if your lucky you might bump into one of the brothers as I did. A lovely quiet moment in chapel was just what was needed. Enjoy 👉👍🙋🙋🙋
  • Beautiful day with my ma and my family. Beautiful Mass at the Abbey chapel and enjoyed the café and shop and monastery garden. Thank you
  • Fantastic experience for the whole family! Feed the ducks, geese, chickens, turkeys, deer and fish who all eat right from your hand. (The doves will even land on your arm if you ask them nicely!). This is a great place to see an array of different species from all over the world (some owned and introduced by the park, and others just visiting). The staff are friendly, there is a snack bar and gift shop on site, with ample parking and a monastery nearby for something else to do. Bird seed, fish food and grass pellets for the deer are all available, making it easy to loose yourself among the animals for hours on end.
  • Beautiful place. Beautiful views. Great food and menu choice from the cafe/shop
  • Beautiful, calm and peaceful. If you're after somewhere to run around, let the kids loose and go crazy this is NOT it. However, if you are after somewhere peaceful, meditative and relaxing. Somewhere to quietly contemplate and collect your thoughts in a beautiful setting. This place is perfect.
