  • Nice and relaxed, lovely scenery and great fun to play on the walls for the kids. You can see why the Romans chose this place to build a villa, it's a picturesque setting. Great for a picnic/lazy afternoon. But nb no toilets.
  • Beautiful woodland walk. Quiet spot for a picnic. Great place to imagine life in Roman times.
  • The site itself is quite limited and had no facilities but actually i liked that. It leads into the Cotswold way path which is a beautiful walk.
  • Excellent view and very interesting remains with good parking facilities. Take good walking shoes as the site is a grass slope and there are large drops within the Villa walls.
  • Keen interest in history then this is worth a meander towards. Nice and out the way with a good mile or so of country lane you can walk up to arrive at the stunning remains of the villa. (Car parking is next to site if you aren't interested in the walk)
