  • I placed an order online for 6 cupcakes to be delivered. The money left the account and i've not seen a single cupcake!! Customer service is the worst I've ever had to deal with, tried to contact them...  more »

  • I have never been so let down by one company so much. Wanted to get a cake for a friends birthday and came across this website. Booked and paid on line great I thought.. easy done. I was so very very wrong. Delivery date was sorted as the 6th called to find out when delivery may be only then did they realize the address was a business address and the delivery wasnt going to be possible before the place shut.. Disappointed.. To then be told my delivery would be made first thing in the morning. To make up for the fact my delivery wasnt going to be made on the date i paid for. Today at 1pm the cake still wasn't there... Tried to call no answer over and over again until i finally get a girl that clearly doesn't grasp customer service! ' I don't know what you want.. You have 2 options take the cake or cancel ' she said... Funny if you can cancel my order at the drop of a hat but I don't understand why you couldn't find out why it hadn't been delivered! 4pm still no cake... But that wasnt all the final insult was to find out this shop was 15mins away from where I needed the delivery.. So we cancelled our order and went to another company who offered me a discount due to there clear incompetence. Shocked, dissapointed, frustrated and those are my choice words. If you want to actually see a cake use a different company!
  • Sorely disappointed with the afternoon tea. Scones served with the cheapest of budget jams and just butter, and the cupcake frosting tasted so synthetic and sickly (like the Betty Crocker stuff in a tub you can buy in Tesco). Major let down! Staff very friendly and attentive though, which is why i've given this place two stars and not one.
  • I checked this place out with Briony yesterday and was really disappointed! I'd seen photos from a launch party recently and thought it looked great with gorgeous cakes and lovely drinks. When I arrived, I have to admit, it wasn't what I was expecting. Not in the least bit snuggly, I sat at a booth to wait for Briony. We eventually realised we were supposed to go up to the counter to order and when asking for various things were told they were unavailable. No waffles, pancakes, bacon, smoothies OR milkshakes! Briony settled on French toast and I ordered a gingerbread latte and asked about the cakes on display (there were no labels indicating what they were). I was informed that the cupcakes on display in the middle were just for display and had been there for about 2 weeks so they wouldn't serve them (thank goodness!) and she explained what all the other cakes and desserts were. I opted for the red velvet cake which had a heart shape cut out of the middle, filled with icing. Being a MASSIVE fan of cream cheese icing, I thought I was on to a winner! Sadly not. My cake was served with a large chunk missing. The corner had obviously broken off and been left behind when sliced and they decided not to add it to my plate. I wouldn't have preferred a cake in pieces than being short-changed. It turns out, that didn't matter as I only ate 2 forkfuls anyway. It was very dry and pretty tasteless. The icing (which I think was actually just buttercream and not cream cheese) was too sweet and there would have been far too much but it ended up being all I nibbled from the plate. My latte had far too much syrup in it and was drinkable but not enjoyable. Won't be trying this place again I'm afraid.

Where to stay in Glasgow

Glasgow's revitalized city center offers outstanding accommodations--along with some of the finest shopping outside London. Considered one of the finest Victorian cities in Britain, Glasgow is renowned for its centrally located hotels. Spacious rooms overlook the historical city center, and award-winning restaurants and trendy cafes occupy the lower levels. Farther away from the central areas, which are often noisy and crowded with tourists, is a world of small B&Bs and guesthouses. These considerably cheaper options offer quality lodging in quiet neighborhoods less frequented by weekend revelers and rowdy nightlife lovers.
