Silverburn, Glasgow
(4.3/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web)
Silverburn is an 'out of town' shopping centre located on Barrhead Road in Pollok, Glasgow, Scotland. The development replaces the 75 acre Pollok centre with a brand new 1500000sqft shopping centre, anchored by Tesco, Next, Marks & Spencer and Debenhams. The completed Silverburn opened for the first time on Thursday 25 October 2007, although at the time the largest Scottish Tesco Extra opened on July 10, 2006 at the site, replacing the Tesco store in the old Pollok Centre. The Centre houses 95 shopping units and 14 restaurants and cafes.Developed by Retail Property Holdings Ltd, it is one of the largest shopping centres in the UK.The Centre is Glasgow's fifth out of town shopping centre. Catering for a target population from across Scotland, the Centre arguably benefits Ayrshire, especially with the completion of the M77 to Kilmarnock. The developers aimed to attract shoppers from nearby Newton Mearns, Clarkston, Giffnock and Barrhead as well as the towns and villages in Ayrshire. In 2015, The Centre expanded to include a Cineworld cinema and 9 restaurants including Zizzi & Pizza Express which opened in 2014.

  • Many retail shops, department stores, restaurants and cinema house make this ideal place to go for families and friends .
  • Great centre with all the usual high streett shops, very modern with plenty of seating to take a break from a hard days shopping and also charging stations for phones (essential for anyone with an iph...  more »
  • Great selection of shops to suit most budgets. Well laid out. You can shop, eat and go to the movies...all without getting wet! A great afternoon / evening out.

  • Excellent range of stores and food places. Despite the multi storey car park, it is often difficult to park but there is a great access by public transport
  • I recommend you come here as late as 11:30AM. As there are barely anybody in the mall, and you can get served in every shop with in 20 seconds , it gets absolutely mobbed at 1-3 pm I've bin to tgi Fridays at 1pm & 2 pm and the shopping mall is absolutely mobbed! So is the restaurant! I don't recommend you arrive at 1pm because ha good luck trying to find a parking space! And people wander why they spend more than 5 minutes looking for a parking space at 1pm! The shopping mall is very luxurious, I spend a minimum of 2 hours here normally around 3-5 hours I tend to get a coffee, at 10am spend a couple of hours on shopping, then have lunch do final shopping then go home at 2/3 pm
  • Silverburn Shopping Centre, just off the M77 J2, has all the important features to match or surpass any other shopping centres around Scotland. It offers a very large range of retailers from Tesco 24hour to M&S and restaurants to suit everyone's taste. The centre also attracts movie goers with a multi screen complex. The centre is always busiest in the afternoon, despite that, parking facilities are excellent and has excellent visitor, wheel chair facilities.
  • Really quite nice. There's a cineworld, restaurants, good clothing stores... It's a lot nicer than shopping in town.
  • Great shopping centre, dispute closing time should be at least closing time at 10pm Specaily in weekend because that is Glasgow the one place where can people go and sit after finishing work for caffe and some . Is this shopping centre .
