  • Situated within Hampden Park, this is a great way to spend a few hours. Plenty to see and learn about the Scottish game. Great to see so much stuff related to the women's game in Scotland because I ha...  more »
  • This is a MUST visit! I would advise that you combine a tour of Hampden Park with a visit to the museum. At £8.00 and despite inflation it is not cheap but again the volunteer guides are so helpful an...  more »
  • Great variety of paraphernalia and plenty of cool stuff to play on or watch. Better than some museums which is just stuff in cases (although there's plenty of that too). Really worth the trip.  more »

  • A first class visitor attraction. Take a trip through the annals of Scottish football history from the late 19th century to the present day. It really does make you appreciate the role Scotland has had in the birth of the ultimate game. Great exhibits, interactive media and very helpful staff on hand to answer any questions. Well worth the £8 for an adult ticket.
  • Had a really enjoyable afternoon and only wish I had more time. Our tour guide was Jim McKay who was great fun. Thanks to Jim, I can now say that I've actually scored at Hampden (you'll need to do the tour). I can't wait to go back.
  • The Hampden Experience is a must for any football fan. I took by two boys, 13 and 14 along with my husband, a family ticket was good value at £30. The tour guide, Jim was knowledgeable, entertaining, full of anecdotes, personal stories and kept everyone in the group of about 20 people involved. We went in the changing rooms, walked out into the ground and had plenty of photo opportunities. There was a chance for everyone to score a goal in the warm up area. The museum is full of loads of football history with many items going back to the 1870's where football started to become the game we love today. It includes the Scottish Cup, European Cup and even Ali McCoists Golden Boot. There was a small cafe which did panini, cake and coffee which was friendly and reasonably priced. This was our boys first trip to Scotland - we live in Bristol, and flew in that morning, making Hampden our first stop. We weren't disappointed. 😍
  • Totally worth the trip down to the deep south. If you are a football fan this is a must see as it shows the real history of the oldest footballing nation in the world. Even learn about how Brazil owes its footballing heritage to Scotland.
  • Great venue. Keep plenty of time there is loads to see. Book the stadium tour as well.

Where to stay in Glasgow

Glasgow's revitalized city center offers outstanding accommodations--along with some of the finest shopping outside London. Considered one of the finest Victorian cities in Britain, Glasgow is renowned for its centrally located hotels. Spacious rooms overlook the historical city center, and award-winning restaurants and trendy cafes occupy the lower levels. Farther away from the central areas, which are often noisy and crowded with tourists, is a world of small B&Bs and guesthouses. These considerably cheaper options offer quality lodging in quiet neighborhoods less frequented by weekend revelers and rowdy nightlife lovers.
