  • First impressions weren't great as the park is flanked by big, ugly tower blocks, but it does have real charm and a sense of history. Great for a stroll and there is a big obelisk dedicated to Nelson ...  more »
  • Glasgow Green is by far the oldest of the parks in the city and is within walking distance of the city centre. Among the highlights of the Park's People Palace, where you can learn the history of Glasgow and its inhabitants in this fascinating social history museum. By the People Palace are the winter Gardens with a collection of exotic plants and shrubs. Outside the winter Gardens is the Doulton Fountain that was transferred to Glasgow Green in 1890 after the 1888 international exhibition at Kelvingrove.

  • Nice Park for walking on a good day. Big enough, but compared to the London parks loses in brilliance. On a sunny and warm day, take a stroll along it will be really nice.

  • Big and calm Park, room to either play with your dogs or football with your mates, but could use some sort of ice cream shop or coffee somewhere in the middle other than the peoples palace.
  • This is a large open park. There are few features of interest but it is often used for events like Bonfire Night and Pride
  • The oldest park in Glasgow has lots to offer with age appropriate activities if you are 1 or 101. Enjoy a quite stroll, learn the history of Glasgow in the People's Palace or let the kids wild on the swings and chutes.
  • A large, peaceful park perfect for getting away from the city without travelling out if it. There are also riverside pathways that are great for walking, running, and cycling.
  • Great big park that usually has some event or other taking place. Really nice bit to unwind when the weather is good.
