Where to stay in Glasgow

Glasgow's revitalized city center offers outstanding accommodations--along with some of the finest shopping outside London. Considered one of the finest Victorian cities in Britain, Glasgow is renowned for its centrally located hotels. Spacious rooms overlook the historical city center, and award-winning restaurants and trendy cafes occupy the lower levels. Farther away from the central areas, which are often noisy and crowded with tourists, is a world of small B&Bs and guesthouses. These considerably cheaper options offer quality lodging in quiet neighborhoods less frequented by weekend revelers and rowdy nightlife lovers.

  • The café bar here has a great atmosphere. We came a couple of times for a coffee/beer, and it has a nice buzz, obviously a meeting place for some of the artists in the city.  more »

  • Great diverse venue. Always interesting events lined up. Lovely space.
  • Great venue for gigs and Cinemaattic. Really good food and drink options too
  • What a stunning place. Excellent access for wheelchair users lovely cafe
  • The food was delicious. Definitely go there for lunch/dinner. Amazing
  • Massively overpriced cafe/bar with questionable spirit measures. Clientele tend to exist only in a world of exuberant post-modern artsy guff. Staff at reception are friendly at least. Conducted an interview here once and was interrupted by a couple saying that our conversation about comics was very disturbing to them. They promptly went back to their room and continued murdering a guitar and making squeezing cat noises. That experience represents this up itself hellhole perfectly.
