  • I have been going to the strand at Gillingham Kent since I was born in1961 55 yrs ago you need very little money to have a great day out with the family or just on yr won great for picnics as my 2 year old granddaughter suggested we do today you can also take advantage of the miniature rail ride for just a pound swimming or just a walk along the pier?...tell all yr friends about this unspoiled spot of nature...good luck and have a good day out as we have for many years
  • Went to the strand today with grandsons 8 and 9. Started with football golf £8.20 for nine holes. Would be nice if all holes had flags in them. Would be even nicer if a map was supplied to mark out the course. What a total waste of money and time. Next went to the lido, why is there so much brown at the bottom, which can be very slippery. Yet in the photos it is clear blue. Shame really. Next we did the funfAir, always good for the money.
  • Nice for a stroll. Crazy golf not maintained terribly well but still fun. Kids loved the playground areas
  • I don't even know what to say. Absolutely disgraceful, never seen such dirty bug ridden water. At first we were slightly disappointed that the pool overall was very disimilar compared to the pictures we has earlier seen. We could see that the pool had not been cleaned in a while as it's floor was grisly and brown. Having paid twenty pounds we had to at least attempt getting comfortable and having a dip. When jumping in only then we realised how filthy it was. I can imagine sea water and lakes to be cleaner. The water was so unclean and floating with tiny elements of dirt everywhere that tiny worms which form under the surface of dirty water were literally dominating the entire pool. It was like swimming amongst debree. A form was filled out on exit, they better act quickly on getting a refund made. Disgusting how no one cares to inform us at the reception despite having a stack of complaints. Appalling.
  • Nice area, nice lido pool and park. Good for walking your car or dancing in the moonlight with your dog.
