Wonderful experience. In good weather, take a picnic and a good bottle of wine to sample. Lovely old hall. Covered seating for open air theatre/concert. Take cushion to claim seat beforehand. Historical setting in Hall gardens. Magical! Going again this year. Love it!
You need to know the rules at this venue. We should have read them on the website. You take your cushions or blankets and get there early and put them on the best seats to reserve them. You then poddle off into the gorgeous grounds and have a picnic and a snooze. People who don't know the rules get less favourable seats, but they're all fine. An amazing open air but covered performance space. We went to see Joan Armatrading on her own and as the daylight faded the backdrop of the hall and garden covered in lights made it a very special evening. Must go and visit the hall sometime too.
Interesting house with beutiful gardens
