  • We visited when Winter festival on -very impressive. Large park, well laid out. Lots for kids to do, big boating lake, cafe.
  • Well kept park with lots of wildlife to see - grey squirrels, a variety of birds, poultry and rabbits in Victorian cages, swans, ducks, coots, moorhens and geese on the pond. Lovely trees and plants a...  more »
  • I can walk to the park in 15mins. It is a large park with different features such as large boating pond, tea-room, woodland and sports pitches. Quite a good location for urban birding. Usual warblers ...  more »
  • A great place to spend May happy hours. With the park split into different sections you can have lots of new adventures in the one venue.
  • Great outdoor space. Has a hedge maze, boating lake and play areas. Enclosed and traffic free. Great environment for taking children.
  • Lovely park to go to, it is big enough so that you have enough space for a little picnic on the grass and not be bothered by other visitors. Plenty of fields about for the family with a dog. A park/play area for the kids. A small lake to feed the ducks, plus some paddle boats. The castle/towers is a cafe with some history on the towers up stairs. A seating area where the squirrels sometimes hang out. Another area where the kids can look at chickens, rabbits, budgies etc.
  • A good place to waste away the hours. A large park with plenty of places to sit for the elderly, a large recreation field for ball games and dog walking, two outdoor play areas to cater for all ages of children, a boating lake and a small area with animals -including a swearing parrot! Ice cream vans and a mobile catering van for food and coffee. My only gripe would be that the play areas could do with a bit of a refurb.
  • Used to come here 50 years ago as a child visiting grandparents. Brought my grandchildren here today for a quick visit. Will definitely come back..... brought back lots of happy memories.
