  • We fond this small museum fascinating and linked up to visits in the past to the Fox Talbot museum at Lacock abbey, Wiltshire. The museum is well laid out with different rooms of different themes...  more »
  • Super cafe with a long menu, fantastic staff, and a wonderful museum! Will definitely return. It was incredibly busy but the staff worked miracles serving many people with a smile. Loved the museum...  more »
  • I came here to see the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival exhibition because I was there 51 years ago. I soon realised that it's not the main focus of the venue. Just a montage of musician photos and...  more »

  • Really interesting spot. A good collection of Julia Margaret Cameron's photographs, her bedroom, lovely views from the window of Freshwater Bay. Upstairs there are rooms devoted to the IOW festival and exhibitions on Bowie and Dylan. Great shop and cafe. Outside seating. Friendly staff. A real find x
  • What a lovely surprise it was. Stopped for a bite to eat and discovered the house and museum. Very interesting and 2 completely different museums. Highly recommend it
  • I feel that this museum exists only because she was a woman. The men who produced this sort of work have been forgotten. Personally, I have absolutely no interest in pop music so one half of this exhibit was wasted on me. Neither David Bowie or the Isle of Wight music festival is of any interest to me. In any case, I understand that at least one of them is deceased.
  • Attended an excellent David Bowie evening event all about his visits to plus his quite extensive history on the Isle of Wight. Presented by two people who knew and worked with him on his music and art. It was fascinating. The Dimbola Museum is a great arts resource on the Isle of Wight, for islanders and tourists alike. It's well worth a visit.
  • I was particularly impressed with the free entry to this wonderful building. Galleries contain a range of framed photographs dating to the 1860s. Many images belie their age and show a range of human subjects up close which serves to bring out their inner character. The David Bowie exhibition is also a must for his fans.
