With a permanent population of only around 400 people, Fort Augustus is a busy tourist destination offering a wide range of activities to visitors from around the globe.   • Not the course it was a couple of years ago. Overpriced for what it is. More of a narrow pitch and putt than a proper golf course with 8 par 3's in 18 holes. Clubhouse would appear never to be open. The whole setup has a feel that it's best times may well be behind it.
